Why do rides with a ride leader cost more?
Rides with a ride leader cost $20 more per person because of the additional work and costs associated with these rides.
For each of these rides we pay fees to the US Forest Service and the BLM. That's most of the costs. But then we have extra costs for organizing the rides, all the paperwork to obtain special use permits for the rides and equipment like radios and/or satellite phones for each the rides.
Your ride leader and tail gunner on the rides are all volunteers.
